Testimonies

We would like to share a case where the wife is suffering from PCOS (Poly cystic ovarian syndrome), with an average of "aunt visit" (menstruation) every 6 months, which is a very obvious reason for this couple to face difficulties trying to conceive naturally.

The couple has been trying to conceive for years, and did not have a clue that the cause of not pregnant is actually within both the husband and wife.
Fortunately, they came forward and found us, SabahCare Fertility Centre, who are dedicated to making pregnancies possible.

As a standard fertility assessment, Husband did a semen analysis, diagnosed as Azoospermia, a condition where no sperms were found. Eventually husband underwent Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA) , a procedure performed for men who are having sperm retrieved for IVF/ICSI who have obstructive azoospermia, and managed to have some sperm found in the process and able to preserve by freezing (Sperm freezing).

Wife then started on IVF treatment, which involves Stimulation, Ovum pick up (OPU), IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), embryo transfer (ET), they are finally blessed with a beautiful baby of their own. We literally get chills from joy when they share with us their baby pictures upon delivery. We are just really grateful to be able to be a part of this "miracle".

This is why we always preach in such a way where people should not delay treatment,  and who knows, maybe all you need is just a little sprinkle of "modern science dust" for a "miracle"

We truly appreciate having Dr. Cheong as our fertility and IVF consultant. It was a very emotional and challenging journey for us, and Dr. Cheong and her experienced team always made us feel supported, comforted,  and always ready with an answer to any questions we might have.

Her advice throughout our IVF journey was given to us in a realistic and professional manner where she let us know about what our true odds were of success, and was always compassionate and empathic whenever those odds started to look long .

For those long odds, she presented us with true solutions that we needed to increase our odds in order to reach our end goal, which was to conceive our own child as soon as possible. We had a case of very low egg count and sperm count.  Whereas in other parts of the world we might have been turned away for IVF treatment due to the low chance of success, Dr. Cheong never ever gave up on us, and with her excellent team, we had amazing luck on our first round with only one viable embryo, and they successfully helped us to conceive our beautiful baby girl.

We cannot thank Dr. Cheong and her team enough for their amazing work, blessing us with our child. We are forever grateful to you, Dr. Cheong, and the entire team at SabahCare Fertility Centre!
